External Email - Use Caution        

Hi Maite,
  Apologies, forgot the final step in my last email - make a shortcut to the new 'config.xlauch' file and use this shortcut to start Xming when needed.  You can also put the shortcut in your Windows start up folder if you would prefer Xming to start whenever Windows boots up (see: MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "secure-web.cisco.com" claiming to be https://siliconheaven.info/xlaunch-configuration-file/#gsc.tab=0) for the steps.

Hi Maite,
  I just set my Ubuntu system up last night.  The solution for me was to start XLaunch and on the 3 step (Specify parameter settings), check the "No Access Control", then save the configuration file.  You will get a warning about using the '-ac' flag, but it was the only way I could get Xming to work properly.

  Then in my .bashrc file, I added the following lines to automatically load the display IP address:

export DISPLAY=$(cat /etc/resolv.conf | grep nameserver | awk '{print $2; exit;}'):0.0


  Remember, when you modify the Xming configuration file through XLaunch, make sure that Xming is not running or the updated config file will not be saved.
