We upgraded a few Intel iMac to Leopard from Tiger. And after that qdec did not work on those machines.  The problem is reinstalling X11 will remove library file libexpat.0.dylib. After replacing this file from other Tiger machine, it stopped complaining "lib** not found" but output an error msg "Diplay not found" (cannot remember exactly). So I manually changed DISPLAY to :0.0 and it worked. I tried on another Leopard, and it is working as well. I hope this would help if anyone encounter the same problem as I did.
