Dear Bruce and freesurfer experts,

I am trying to use mri_average_subjects, but encountered the error:

mghRead(/fullpath/surf/lh.inflated.H, -1): could not open file.

.

Then I tried

mri_info subject/surf/lh.inflated.H

, and it worked.

But when I tried 

mri_info $(readlink -f subject/surf/lh.inflated.H)

, the same error information is told.

Besides, I tried the same command to the downloaded buckner_data and no error happened.

How to fix this?

The following information is from bugr:

FREESURFER_HOME: /usr/local/freesurfer

Build stamp: freesurfer-Linux-centos4_x86_64-stable-pub-v5.1.0

RedHat release: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.3 (Santiago)
