Thank you guys for all the great information! Now I only have a few questions....
I realized that my computer has 4 cores...
So based on your suggestions, if I  assign 3 cores for my Freesurfer virtual machine, should I change the # of processors to 3 in my freesurfer virtual machine's  "Setting "?

Base Memory:

6028 MB

Processors:

3

Boot Order:

Floppy, CD/DVD-ROM, Hard Disk

Acceleration:

VT-x/AMD-V, Nested Paging

Is this correct?
Also, if I want to run multiple freesurfer recon-all in one virtual machine, should I just open several terminals, and enter in separate commands? If I understand correctly...

Thanks Again!
Catherine

Hi Catherine

it depends on how many processors you have. If you have multiple CPUs you
should be fine, although you'll need at least 2G/process if not 3.

cheers
