One follow-up question - I realize that images should be processed using the same version and OS. For my current study, all images but one have been processed on a previous version of FreeSurfer and it will not be possible for me to process this one remaining image in the same way. I realize this situation is not ideal, but am now wondering what remaining options might be best:
Option 1 - drop this image from my study (which would be unfortunate given the expense associated with collecting the data!)
Option 2 - reconstruct this image using the new version of FreeSurfer (and acknowledge this in my paper) - and if I go this route, should I reconstruct the pre-intervention image of this same brain on this new version of FreeSurfer (and re-run the longitudinal processing stream for this one brain).
I guess I'm asking how serious it really is to use a different version of FreeSurfer for one participant in the longitudinal stream?
