Hi Mudathir
Can you send images including orthogonal slice view as well as maybe 3 consecutive slices? It could be that the pial surface is just a fraction of a mm too far in and what looks like a big error in this slice
is really a small one. Alternatively, there might be a topological defect there or an inaccuracy in the white matter surface, so maybe also send images of the wm.mgz or filled.mgz for a few slices?
Cheers
Bruce

Subject: [Freesurfer] Missing part of the pial surface
External Email - Use Caution
Hello everyone. I executed recon-all on an image, and it reconstructed the pial surface but left out a portion in the subcentral cortex area, as shown in the images. This is the first time I've encountered this issue. Could someone assist me in figuring out
how to resolve it? I would be grateful for any help.
Thank you,
Mudathir
