This is likely due to a bug in 8.0 (now fixed in 8.1). There should be a file called $suject/stats/synthseg.tiv.dat and you can get the stiv from that. If that file does not exist, then there should be one called $subject/stats/synthseg.vol.csv; look for "total intracranial" in that

We have run around 100 participants through Freesurfer 8.0. Overall, we’ve found it to be a major improvement (so thank you!)
When I export the data, I am getting “0” for SegmentedTotalIntracranialVol – the other ICV measures are populated.

 

Q1: Do you have any idea of why this may have happened?
Q2: I’m hoping to avoid rerunning everything. Is there a command I could run to get these values to properly populate?
