External Email - Use Caution

You can set the environment variable FS_LICENSE to point to your license file.  Some people set that in their shell init file, e.g., .bashrc, and keep the file license.txt in their home directory.  For example,

$ cd $HOME
$ head -1 license.txt
me@somedomain.com        <—— email you used to register

$ export FS_LICENSE=$HOME/license.txt
$ head -1 $FS_LICENSE
me@somedomain.com        <—— email you used to register

Starting with the Freesurfer 7.3.2 release, the Mac build used Xquartz 2.8.2.   If you are not already running 2.8.2 or newer then I would download and install the latest version of Xquartz from MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "secure-web.cisco.com" claiming to be https://www.xquartz.org
