mri_convert can do lots of things but I would actually try mri_probedicom to get the DICOM timings. If you have AFNI installed you could also try dicom_hinfo which has more examples in the AFNI wiki than mrI_probedicomi. You could just loop over dicoms writing stdout to a text file.
