Hi Knut Jørgen - TRACULA and AnatomiCuts are completely different software tools that serve completely different purposes. TRACULA is for reconstructing a set of pre-defined, named tracts automatically, based on prior information on the anatomy of these tracts from a set of subjects were the same tracts have been defined manually. AnatomiCuts is for clustering whole-brain tractography data, without any prior information on what tracts there are in the brain. So you would use TRACULA if you were interested, let's say, in the uncinate fasciculus and you wanted to get that same tract in all your subjects, whereas you would use AnatomiCuts for an exploratory analysis of each subject's whole-brain data.

Integration of AnatomiCuts with freeview is ongoing, and we plan to release it in the next version of FreeSurfer, or at least as soon as we have a beta version. The paper is here:

Thanks for your interest and happy new year!

Subject: [Freesurfer] AnatomiCuts in tracula

Dear Freesurfer expert

I have used Tracula and I read that AnatomiCuts could improve Tracula performance. Can I use
AnatomiCuts with Tracula in Freesurfer 6.0 or developer version. If this is not the case, will it be released in Freesurfer 6.1

Best regards
