Hi Ruopeng,

Thanks. I ran glxgears and see 3 interlocking wheels and this:

Running synchronized to the vertical refresh.  The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
22863 frames in 12.1 seconds = 1896.797 FPS
991 frames in 12.3 seconds = 80.354 FPS
961 frames in 12.0 seconds = 80.064 FPS
519 frames in 12.0 seconds = 43.245 FPS
863 frames in 12.0 seconds = 71.934 FPS
899 frames in 12.3 seconds = 72.883 FPS
777 frames in 12.0 seconds = 64.742 FPS
543 frames in 12.0 seconds = 45.257 FPS
780 frames in 12.0 seconds = 65.004 FPS
733 frames in 12.3 seconds = 59.431 FPS
825 frames in 12.0 seconds = 68.746 FPS
519 frames in 12.0 seconds = 43.251 FPS
780 frames in 12.3 seconds = 63.223 FPS
779 frames in 12.0 seconds = 64.935 FPS
779 frames in 12.0 seconds = 64.824 FPS
772 frames in 12.0 seconds = 64.330 FPS
520 frames in 12.3 seconds = 42.156 FPS

Not sure what this means, though? I will look into the graphics card of my local computer.

Thanks,
Ina

It sounds like a remote display issue. Does glxgears command work for you remotely? Would it be possible for you to update graphics card drive to the latest for the local machine?

Ruopeng

Hi Freesurfer experts,

I installed CentOS 7 on my computer and tried running freeview in the terminal window after ssh’ing into a remote computer. The software opened up correctly and I was able to see the toolbars; however, the main screen where the images should be showed a distorted background. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is there anything I need to install before running freeview?

When I previously ssh’ed into the same remote computer using Mac OS Sierra, freeview worked perfectly fine.

Many thanks for your help.

Best,
Ina
