If you run the subject through recon-all you can either draw the label on the inflated surface, in which case we will automatically figure out where it should be in the volume (based on the ?h.white surface), or you can draw it directly in the volume. The surface is probably a lot easier though.

non-tal space, on inflated brain (AE_LH_INF.jpeg). The other is projected

I need to draw ROIs in same location of inflated brain using tksurfer, on
same subject AE. I am not sure in which space, the inflated brain of

do I take as a reference when I draw the labels in Freesurfer
