Would freeview start up without loading a volume?

Dear freesurfer experts, 

I have a MacOS Big Sur, version 11.5.2 with an Intel chip. I successfully installed freesurfer on my computer. Unfortunately, the freeview quit unexpectedly every time I tried to open any file. Is the MacOS version 11.5.2 not supporting freeview? How can I solve this problem?

Any insights can help! Thanks!
