I have a question about the volume of the hippocampus. I want to know why when I convert the left and right hippocampus from mgz to nii (after extracting the labels from aseg.mgz) the number of voxels in the masks don't match the number I get from the asegstats2table (using --segno 17 and 53)? below are some examples numbers, the first column is the hippocampal volume using asegstats2table, and 2nd column is the volume as extracted from aseg.mgz and then converted to nii:
