I am writing a paper for which I need to introduce the concepts of “hard” and “soft failures”, and I am wondering what is the proper way of citing them. I am aware there is plenty of material online (see for example https://fscph.nru.dk/slides/Allison/freesurfer.failure_modes.pdf) but I am wondering if there is a citable paper in which these are described or discussed.
