Dear FreeSurfer Support,

I am writing this letter to inquire about the labeling system for Desikan/Killiany atlas.

Specifically, we would like to ask whether the label "CTX_LH_UNKNOWN_SUVR" shall be included for the anaylsis or not.

As far as we are concerned, we found the related information in archives of FreeSurfer support:

unknown volume means it's not part of the cortex (usually on the medial wall where the surface crosses things like the callosum, the thalamus, the ventricles, etc...)

It appears that the value of this label is meaningful in our current analysis. 

Therefore we would very much appreciate if you can give us some suggestions or elaboration about the unknown label in freesurfer, and how to interpret it.
