tkregisterfv looks like a nice alternative. However it only
allows .lta format registration files, while all the
registration files we previously used are in .reg format. I
wonder if there is any way to convert between the two?

Our lab currently uses version
“freesurfer-local-build-dev-20200114” (this is what’s shown
with the “recon-all version” command, but should be 7.0 or
7.1), I also checked some older versions we used before and
the same issue exists.
