Hi Holger
The problem with older atlases is that the labeling was not accurate enough, which explains why we had to group several label in the 2009 version Using older version is probably not a good idea.
I don't exactly know what you want to do but I can tell that if several “transverse” temporal gyri were present, only the most anterior was included in [G_temp_sup-G_T_transv], which is supposed to corresponds to primary auditory cortex.
Additional, more posterior, secondary "transverse temporal gyri" were included in the parcellation planum temporale [G_temp_sup-Plan_tempo] since they are made of secondary auditory cortex

I don't know if it helps

Objet: [Freesurfer] Destrieux atlas 2002
Dear freesurfers, dear Mr. Destrieux,
I have a question concerning the destrieux atlas 2002: I need a distinct label "G_temp_sup-G_temp_transv_and_interm_S" , which is only available in this atlas version. I tried using "?.atlas2002_simple.gcs", but this atlas does not output the requested label - but the labels of the default ?.aparc.annot. How can I get the mentioned label (with the original boundaries of this region).
Would be glad about any help, THX
Holger
