I've been trying to open tkmedit but am continually getting an error ("GLUT: Fatal Error in tkmedit.bin: visual with necessary capabilities not found"). I'm using a machine with Ubuntu 11.04 that formerly ran tkmedit. The only suggestion I could find so far was this (https://mail.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/pipermail//freesurfer/2010-May/014433.html).
