FreeSurfer does read and use the qform, but only if the sform is not valid. When writing, it writes the qform as the same as the sform.

I am planning to update my data conversion code and include the q-form header field in a meaningful way. It would be nice if I could get it to work properly with both fsl and freesurfer.
