The Neuroimaging of Emotions Lab (NiEmoLab at CRIUGM, criugm.qc.ca) affiliated with University of Montreal, is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Postdoctoral Fellow for the research project:
Impact of neuroimaging, neuropsychiatric and proteomic
factors on cognitive performance in Parkinson’s disease and Mild
Cognitive Impairment, and their potential to predict future evolution
of clinical and cognitive performance.
The project builds on an existing research platform and involves cross-sectional and longitudinal analyses of neuroimaging, neuropsychiatric, cognitive, clinical and proteomic data. Current working data were extracted from online databases (PPMI, ADNI, NACC, CIMAQ) as well as in the frame of our collaboration with the PCAN lab of University of Calgary. Neuroimaging structural and functional resting-state data were processed. Diffusion data processing requires further adjustments (Dipy). A second part of the project that involves comprehensive neuropsychiatric assessments, is undergoing acquisition now and is expected to be ready for analysis in early 2022. Project is funded by the Fonds de Recherche de Québec Santé, Parkinson Québec, Parkinson Canada.
Experience requirements:
proficient knowledge of python, on statistical analysis (e.g., nilearn, scikit-learn, statsmodels, scipy) that will be implemented in our pipeline (MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "secure-web.cisco.com" claiming to be github.com/alexhanganu/nimb).
ability to write scientific peer-reviewed manuscripts
PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical engineering, Biomedical sciences, or Psychology
Experience with neuroimaging and connectivity analysis techniques (Freesurfer, FSL, Dipy, PPI, ICA, graph theory) are advantageous.
Funding is available for 2 years, renewable. Selected candidate is
expected to apply for external bursaries. The amount of the bursary
will be determined based on experience and recent scientific
productivity.
