Hello Freesurfer Experts,

I am attaching snapshots of problem areas I continue to work with in reconstructing surfaces from children T1 weighted scans.
In several different participants, movement is often a factor in creating striated movement artifacts along the outer edge of cortex.
I have previously edited white matter and added control points that have sufficiently moved the pial surface, but there are several occasions where "white" high intensity voxels appear outside grey matter surfaces, yet visually seem too close to the edge to designate as white matter with control points/wm edits. In other instances, there are several areas excluded from grey matter boundaries that have no "white matter" voxels near enough to help extend the surface.
Can bias field/normalization be used in making corrections for excluded grey matter/noisy high intensity voxels?

Thank you in advance,
Gonzalo Iribarne
