In that post, I'm not saying that we have a meninges segmentation, just that the meninges might be removed when doing skull stripping. This will not remove the signal from meninges that has partial-volumed into the brain. We don't have a way to do that unless there is a meningeal ROI.

Dear Doug,

We are working on PET images and our tracer has a lot of non-specific binding close to meninges. To do so we want to be able to mask out meninges and other areas outside the brain. Following up on your suggestion as in MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "secure-web.cisco.com" claiming to be https://www.mail-archive.com/freesurfer@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/msg52008.html thread we are planning to extract meninges ROI and mask it out from our PET image.

What labels should we include from the aseg.mgz and gtmseg.mgz file to be classified as "brain". We want to compare our regional PET uptake with PVC'ed PET data as well hence gtmseg.mgz.

Thank you,
Sneha
