Hard to say for sure, but I would guess you have an incorrectly fixed topological defect in that region.

I am having trouble with the pial and white matter segmentation of one subject (you can see the picture attached), I tried to set control points but it did not work completely. The segmentation looks not good  at all for some slices, do you know what I could do ?
