Hi Daniel
I don't think we claimed it improves snr. Just that it has about the same snr, much smaller distortion and hence much greater cross-session repeatability, and also gives you some T2* info.

mri_cnr will give you some stats if you want
Cheers

Dear FreeSurfer Experts,
Is there a way to estimate the SNR in MPRAGE scans besides using wm-anat-snr ?
For examples, I read that SNR is improved in multiecho MPRAGE and I am wondering how that is computed?
Thanks!
Daniel
