Hi list,

I'm hoping someone has experience using mne_ctf_dig2fiff
It works fine for me if I use the --numfids tag and the input contains
just the 3 fiducial points like this:
3
1 8.9406775 -0.04942905 0.012751158
2 0.2539445 6.5565475 -0.046412143
3 -0.253945 -6.556545 -0.026773773

But if I have a text file that also includes the headshape
digitization points like:
2491
1	8.9704975	0.05218295	-0.23203955
2	0.2775883	6.6480725	-0.04565462
3	-0.0982802	-6.648075	-0.059390845
1	5.96421	5.69794	4.3621
2	5.92697	5.714	4.37504
3	5.83771	5.77548	4.37703
...
2487	9.76938	-0.274597	-2.58046
2488	9.75787	-0.276443	-2.58306

I get an error like:
Illegal or missing data in position file : <76443 -2.58306>.

If I switch to using text labels for the fiducials like this:
2491
nazion	8.9704975	0.05218295	-0.23203955
left	0.2775883	6.6480725	-0.04565462
right	-0.0982802	-6.648075	-0.059390845
1	5.96421	5.69794	4.3621
...

Then I get:
4ightal 5.6>.7185.77548 4.3770375on file-0.059390845 8.9704975
 0.05218295 -0.23203955

Which refers to the digitizer point on line 7 (sequential number 4).

I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone can make for how to fix this.

Many thanks,
Linnaea
