[Mne_analysis] libgfortran.so.1

Dear MNE Experts,

In trying to install MNE on my new Debian system (version 6, "squeeze"), when I launch MNE commands like "mne_browse_raw", I get the following error:

mne_browse_raw: error while loading shared libraries: libgfortran.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

When I search for that library (using apt-get or aptitude), all I see are references to libgfortran3 libraries, which are already installed on my system.

I searched the list archives for this, but the closest post was from someone who had the requested libraries but needed to link to them. My situation is apparently different.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
