Hi,

We’re attempting to read large EDF files on a server at the Boston Children’s Hospital epilepsy center. Many of the files are discontinuous, meaning that they have time gaps in the time series. We need to pull out 30-second segments at specific time points.

The questions:
1) Do discontinuous (EDF+D) files contain time information at all the gaps to enable a specific time segment to be extracted?
2) Related: what MNE methods do this? (I wasn’t able to find this in the docs; if I did, it would probably answer question #1)

Thank you,

Bill
