The basic matlab program (both student and other) does not include any of the additional licenses. Each University decides which (if any) additional toolboxes to add on to the basic package for additional cost. Therefore, if you don't have the toolbox you need, it's an issue to discuss with your university. It actually has nothing to do with the full vs student version (other then that your university might not have bought the same toolboxes in the student version).

In the Matlab command prompt, type "ver" to see the list of licenses/versions installed on your computer.

In the future, it would be nice to rewrite or avoid some the functions to avoid requiring too many tool boxes. You can use the matla. command "depfun" in matlab to see toolbox dependencies of your code (see matlab help on this).

Subject: [Homer-users] Toolbox Add-Ons Needed for Student Matlab version

Hi all,

I've been reading on the listserv that some people have encountered problems using Homer when running on a student version of Matlab. Unfortunately, this is the version I just purchased. Does anyone know if the full academic version is absolutely required, or if additional add on toolboxes can be bought for the student version to make Homer work just the same?

So far, it looks like the Stateflow and Wavelet toolboxes are not included in the student version (but available for purchase online) and are necessary for running Homer and doing several processing steps. Are there any other non-included toolboxes that should be purchased, or is the full academic version really the only way to proceed?

For reference, these are the other toolboxes included in a purchase of Student Matlab: Control System, Data Acquisition, DSP System, Image Processing, Instrument Control, Optimization, Signal Processing, Simulink, Simulink Control Design, Statistics and Machine Learning, Symbolic Math.

Thanks for your help!
