Thanks for your response. Sorry, I missed it earlier. We are using 64 bit windows; have tried the runtime 64 bit on laptops running windows 7 and one rerunning windows 10; in fact we have tried the Homer/Runtime 2016a (9.0.1) on 5 different laptops; so I must be missing some simple step, outside of the listed documentation for Homer.
