Hi Alex and Andrew, please see individual responses below.

Alex: Of course.

At the terminal I've entered "export MNE_ROOT=~/mne
$MNE_ROOT/bin/mne_setup_sh

I get the response: MNE software location set to: /home/orcasha/mne
                                  MATLAB software not available

Then I try to run mne_analyze:
cd $MNE_ROOT/bin
./mne_analyze

and get the error:
./mne_analyze: error while loading shared libraries: libquicktime.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Andrew: I installed the libquicktime2 package (sudo apt-get install libquicktime2) but it unfortunately didn't help.

Thanks for your assistance so far.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Do you the following package installed from the Ubuntu repositories?

libquicktime2

If not, try installing it and see if that fixes your issue. If it doesn't, you may need to create a symbolic link from libquicktime.so to libquicktime2.so (or something along those lines).

hth,
Andy

Hi MNE list,

I'm trying to run mne_analyze but get the libquicktime.so no folder / file error. I've added mne_root to the path and run mne_setup_sh but haven't had any luck getting it to run. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.

Thanks,

Peter
