POST-DOC POSITION AT NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY / REHABILITATION INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO

This position focuses on using non-invasive human brain modulation using
transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), combined with imaging methods such as
EEG/MEG, fMRI, MRI, diffusion MRI tractography, and behavioral recordings, to
understand, diagnose, and treat the human brain. The tasks include data acquisition
and analysis, technological development, and data dissemination. We study healthy
subjects as well as neurological and psychiatric patient populations.

Requirements: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or a closely related
field. Courses in signal analysis, mathematics, statistics, computational modeling,
physics, and/or experimental psychology are useful. Fluent matlab, python, linux
(CentOS, csh) skills are required; programming in C++ is a plus. Prior experience
with TMS+EEG is required; skills in MEG/EEG, fMRI, and MRI tractography are an
advantage. Expertise with neuroimaging research analysis software packages is useful
(e.g., FreeSurfer, FSL, SPM, MNE analysis stream, FieldTrip, Brainstorm). Must be
responsible, self-motivated, resourceful, organized, a team player, and have strong
verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. The position is full-time, with a minimum
2-year commitment required, starting November 2015 at earliest.
