thanks for pinging me, Alex.
Yes, I indeed experimented with that a while ago (Fieldtrip <-->
MNE-Python) and as Alex indicated it is not straight forward. I can only
speak for Fieldtrip to MNE (and vice versa), and there a big problem was
the different setup of the source space (grid points outside and inside the
brain surface, in my case for volume source spaces).
I cannot give direct advice for Brainstorm, but would probably say that it
is faster to re-calculate the forward model than to write an importing
routine.
