External Email - Use Caution Hi there, I really need some help…I have experienced a mild/moderate head injury in 1997 which caused me to go into seizures (no family history of epilepsy) I have had MRI recently done as my cognitive function and memory have declined rapidly over the years, after the accident I apparently changed from very happy and a large group of friends to being grumpy and short with people and making inappropriate comments... i also lost all my friends at the time as my mood changed and i have struggled to retain friendships (even new ones) since the accident. I have tried to follow your instructions of how to install free surfer but despite once being proficient on c basic programming I have been unable to follow instruction on how to install run and process my MRI data. Thalamus/hippocampus subfield question

?Hi, I am visually quality checking the hippocampal and the thalamic subnuclei parcellations that Iglesias designed. I see that the hippocampal tail and the PuM (pulvinar) overlay with each other. What should I make of that? Is that a brain worth removing from analysis? MEXFile error in thalamic nuclei segmentation script

External Email - Use Caution Freesurfer support, I have installed freesurfer on a Linux (centos 7.7) machine and used ' fs_install_mcr R2014b' to install the Matlab MCR. It runs 'segmentThalamicNuclei bert' successfully on that machine. I tarred up that installation and copied it to a Linux VM (centos 7.6), untarred it, and tried to run the same test but get the error show in the following screenshot. Both machines have gcc 4.8.5 installed. Do you know what is causing this error? The Linux VM does not have internet access so I could not use fs_install_mcr on that machine. FreeSurfer error when running Hippocampal Subfields

External Email - Use Caution Good morning, I am a Biomedical Engineering Student at Universitat de Barcelona and I am creating a python script that has a Watchdog which detects new patients in a specific folder, and we want it to run FS and Hippocampal Subfields. The FS runs properly, but when the script arrives to the Hippocampal Subfields command, it breaks. When using the FreeSurfer's Hippocampal Subfields from a python script after running FS recon-all right before, the processing is not performed due to the error shown in the attatched file. However, when running the Hippocampal Subfields from the terminal it does work. We have even tried to create a watchdog only for the Hippocampal Subfields, and when we move a folder obtained after running FS to a specific folder, it also runs properly. It is only when it is concatenated with FS that it does not work. We have contacted MathWorks Support, but they told us to reach you. The Matlab versions we have are Matlab_R2020a and Matlab_R2014b.
