Sorry for repeating myself, but I'm unsure if my first post got through successfully. My post is detailed below:
I require values (total volume) for the prefrontal cortex. I see labels for "G_frontal_middle" and "G_frontal_superior" in the lh.aparc.annot files - are these correct to use? If so, could I add up the values for these to get one total volume for the PFC?
Thank you, Fatima
Hi Fatima,
it's kind of a poorly-defined region, so I'm not sure how to answer. Those labels don't make up all of prefrontal cortex. Maybe the easiest thing to do is to draw it yourself on fsaverage and map it back to all your subjects. Or maybe Rahul could answer.
cheers, Bruce

Hi Fatima,
As Bruce mentioned, this is a poorly defined region. Within the PFC, what exactly are you measuring? DLPFC or some the whole of the PFC? If you are interested in evaluating DLPFC, my suggestion would be to manually draw it yourself on the fsaverage (as Bruce mentioned) and map it onto every individual subject.
Hope this helps,
rahul

actually, we have a DLPFC label I think, or a couple of them drawn on fsaverageOn Sat, 12 Jun 2010 rahul@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu wrote:
