Hi,
I am trying to install freesurfer on my computer (mac 10.5). When I put the .license file into the installation directory, my computer gives the error that all files beginning with "." are reserved for the computer, and won't let me save the file. Is there any way around this?
Thank you,
Lindsay
Hi Lindsay,
In my limited experience with macs, I've had that issue using the GUI when trying to name files.
I think you might get around that by moving the file using the command-line terminal.
e.g. cp /dir/to/your/file/.license $FREESURFER_HOME/.license ## wherever your FS directory is
If that still yelled at you, you could use sudo (if you're an admin account) before the command, but I'm not too familiar with how Macs behave w/ file permissions.
