I’d like to determine which version of Freesurfer was used to recon-all and trac-all for a subject. Half of my subjects were run using version 5.1 and the other half using version 5.3. I want to determine which version was used for which subjects.
Thanks for the help!
Alicia
You can look in $SUBJECTS_DIR/subject/scripts/build-stamp.txt don't know about tracula output

Hi Alicia,
If you look at the recon-all.log or trac-all.log file in the subject's scripts directory, there is a line that says "build-stamp.txt:". This gives the information about the which version of Freesurfer was used for that command. For example, if you used the Linux CentOS 6 version of Freesurfer 5.3, there would be this line in the recon-all.log:
build-stamp.txt: freesurfer-Linux-centos6_x86_64-stable-pub-v5.3.0
If you re-run the same subject with recon-all, there will be a line that says "New invocation of recon-all", and a build-stamp.txt line.
Best, Lee
