External Email - Use Caution

Dear list,

I'm using freeview to overlay Z values on the MNI Brain with the "heat" colormap. The maximum value of the colored range is smaller than the largest Z value and obviously is determined automatically when I check "Autoset Mid" and let the other boxes unchecked. I think it is chosen reasonably and want to use the graphics in a paper. I'd like to describe how the maximum value was obtained, though. Is this documented or can anyone from this list tell me what the algorithm is?
