Hi everyone, I have a problem with freeview. My university created for me a virtual machine in a small analysis cluster. Unfortunately, they installed Debian 4.19.98. I read that freeview has some problems with Debian, and in fact I am not able to open it. Unfortunately I need to visualize the data because we are conducting an anatomical study with patients with lesions. All the processes I ran until now, like automatic segmentation and surface generation like recon all, worked perfectly, but I need to visualize the data. Do you have suggestions to solve this problem? Thanks

If you start it from a shell, do you see any error message? If so, could you send it?
Also 4.19.98 most likely is the Linux kernel version, not the Debian release. Could you also send the output of the following command:
cat /etc/os-release
Thanks,
Tim

Hi, I guess it is a problem with libpng. Freesurfer 6 was build with 1.2.7 which is not available in Debian buster anymore. Version 7.1 is working.
