Hi again,
I had another question for the listserv about the uses of qdec. After finishing a set of subjects (12 controls and 6 subjects), our group wanted to see if we could use qdec to report the number of voxels that are different (e.g. measuring volume, thickness, etc.) between one group to another. We have searched the tutorial and the faqs and haven't come upon any information on this.
Any help you can provide would be great.
Thanks in advance,

Teddy,
As you discovered, qdec does not yet support volumetric analysis. A feature in the works is to allow analysis of the volumetric data that freesurfer produces, such as comparing, say, age to hippocampal volume. That data would be displayed in bar-graph form.
Its not likely that qdec will support voxel analysis in the way SPM performs volumetric analysis, as the intent of qdec is process data produced by freesurfer, but the idea is not ruled out, as the core utilities (stats and graphics) exist to create such a thing. It may be possible to do this now manually with mri_glmfit, but I haven't done it myself.

This would just be a spreadsheet, so you can use somethign like R or SPSS.

Teddy,
If you want I have some scripts (very alpha version) to convert the files in stats directory to SPSS format.
Best regards,
