does the fsaverage dir exist? It should be symlinked from you $SUBJECTS_DIR to $FREESUFER_HOME/subjects/fsaverage.

Dear All, I ran recon-all using single MPRAGE data set, but batching exited with an error. According to recon- all.log, there is no such a file or directory (INFO:trgsubject = srcsubject).

It could not read fsaverage/surf/lh.white.

I was able to run a subject before without any error not sure why all the subjects I ran now over th e weekend ended up with same error. The detail information please see the attachments.
