Others on the list have fixed this problem by adding the -no1d flag (that no'one'd) to mri_normalize. You can add that flag by creating a file called 'expert.opts' containing this line:

mri_normalize -no1d

and then adding the flag '-expert expert.opts' to recon-all, like this:

recon-all -subjid s057 -autorecon1 -autorecon2 -expert expert.opts
