Antonio,

The centos4 build of freesurfer should work on centos5. The only known problem is with qdec, and the workaround for that is to define the var:

setenv XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS 1

or export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 if using bash.

You should use the 64bit centos build if you have a 64bit machine (although the 32bit build will also work).
