Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows what the format of the matrix in the talairach.xfm file is or if there is any documentation available describing the matrix format.
Thanks! Tracy Wang

This is produced by the MNI tools, so you might look at their website. Basically, I think it's pretty simple, with the last 3 lines being the 3x4 matrix that converts RAS in the subject's space to RAS in talairach space (actually, MNI305 space).

Hi,
My lab has been working with a slightly older version of freesurfer and I was trying to upgrade to what appears to be the newest version on the website: freesurfer-Linux-rh9-dev20050729.tar.gz. However, when I try and run this new version I'm getting all kinds of tcl and tk problems, all them stating a need for tcl8.3 and tk8.3 when I've got tcl8.4 and tk8.4 installed. I'm running Redhat Enterprise v4 and I was wondering if the tar file I downloaded is not ready or if I just need to change some settings for it to see the newer editions of tcl and tk. Thanks very much.
Xander
