They are normalized to be 0 mean, but they should be:

sum(dv . n) for each vertex.

What are the units of "convexity" values (the last column) in ?h.sulc.asc? Probably in mm? The values are <+- 1. It seems the values are two small for "the signed distance" that a vertex moves during the inflation process.
