It says on the website that there is a version that will run on Solaris but it's untested...is there any experience with it or any more recent testing?

one thing i can safely say is that some of the bugs fixed for osx should percolate into bugs fixed for solaris (endianness things especially). but solaris testing has not been done. please feel free to give it a whirl and let us know what happens?

sorry, but not really. We have *very* fews suns around, and those are mostly old and lightly used.
