Dear FS experts
I run recon-all -long on a MacIntel Leopard and everything worked fine. When using the recon-all -long command on a Linux Machine (CentOS 32 bit) it runs untill the end ("recon-all finished without an error"), but there is an error.log file that is about 2 GB in size and it is too large to open.
But I recognized an odd behaviour never seen before (see attachment). This behaviour lasted for minimum half an hour and maybe is responsible for the larger error.log file.
Please help Thanks a lot Best regards Juergen

Jurgen,
I think it comes from the fact that FS could not find some file. I had similar situation here a while ago, when I had almost full partition with FS data. FS created about 4GB logfile.
Just a guess, didn't you move the data from your mac to linux to be re-analyzed or finish the analysis? If FS tried to find a /FILE/ON/MAC, which has /ANOTHER/LOCATION/ON/LINUX this may be the cause.
Just my few cents,
Martin

Juergen,
There is a bug in mri_segstats which causes these huge files. You will also want to get mris_wm_volume. You can get them here:
