Hi All, I have created labels (and annotation files) for just the ventro-medial pre-frontal cortex. I would like to create an atlas based on my manual labels. Do I need to create another label "other", that includes the rest of the surface, before I can create the atlas? Thanks for your help. Amy Raudenbush
Amy,
No, you do not need to create a label for 'other'. Just be sure to list just your label when creating the annot, like:
mris_label2annot --s subj \ --h lh \ --l lh.vmpfc.label \ --ctab your_color_table \ --a your_aparc
If you add more labels, then you can just add more '--l somelabel' args to the command.
