Hi, I am looking at running some thickness analyses on some MRI data we have already collected. I noticed that the manual states that "a minimum of two anatomical acquisitions is required for morphometric studies". Is it possible to run a valid thickness analysis in Freesurfer if I only have 1 T1 scan per person? Alternatively, a subset of our cohort have a T1 and T2, T1 and PD, or all three. Would it be possible to use a T1 and T2 instead of two T1s? Thanks for your help, Alex
Hi Alex,
we have run plenty of studies with only one image/subjects. They require more time and manual intervention, and of course the study won't be as sensitive, but it is certainly doable. Don't try combining other contrast types though.
cheers, Bruce
