Freeview Closes Unexpectedly

External Email - Use Caution Hi, When I try to open any files in Freeview on a MacBook, the application closes unexpectedly. I only receive a message from Apple that says "Freeview quit unexpectedly" but gives no reason. This happens after I open the application and try to load a volume. After Freeview closes, I can open it again but the file does not open. How can this be resolved?

Tracula error in path construction

External Email - Use Caution Dear Anastasia I am running tracula on FreeSurfer 7.2. It worked fine on a linux computer now I am changing to a Cloud workstation. Attached is my Configuration file. For this person the pipeline worked without errors until path reconstruction but exists saying the following I have checked my bvecs and bvals in the subjects directory and also in dmri Any suggestion for me to try would be great-thanks so much! I tried to attach the trac-all log file but then the email is too big to be posted. TRACULA in FreeSurfer version 7.3

External Email - Use Caution Hi Anastasia, � Just downloaded FreeSurfer version 7.3 and trying out TRACULA. Ran recon-all, segmentThalamicNuclei.sh, and trac-all in v7.3 However trac-all -prep is looking for ThalamicNuclei.v12.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz from segmentThalamicNuclei.sh which doesn’t exist. Because in v7.3, segmentThalamicNuclei.sh output a new version v13 (ThalamicNuclei.v13.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz). I worked around this problem by linking ThalamicNuclei.v12.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz to ThalamicNuclei.v13.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz ln -s ThalamicNuclei.v13.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz ThalamicNuclei.v12.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz � trac-all finished w/o problem. � trac-all -version trac-all 7.3.0 � I seems trac-all in v7.3 forgets to update the fact that segmentThalamicNuclei.sh output v13 of the file. ROI analysis, S1, face area

External Email - Use Caution Dear FreeSurfer Team, I would like to do a ROI analysis focusing on the primary somatosensory cortex (S1) using Freesurfer and see the potential alterations after a (behavioral) treatment . I am wondering how I can do that? First, I picked and looked at the postcentral gyrus and sulcus, but I am specifically interested in the face area. Is there a way to make my analysis more accurate? Subregion Segmentation of thalamus for TRACULA

Hi FreeSurfer Developers, I'm trying to run TRACULA in FreeSurfer v7.3 on OS Monterey. I was unable to download R2014b Runtime on my newer OS, so instead of the segmentThalamicNuclei.sh script, I tried running the newer segmentation tool segment_subregions thalamus ( https://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/SubregionSegmentation) This was successful, but trac-all looks for the ThalamicNuclei.v12.T1.FSvoxelSpace.mgz file, whereas the subregion segmentation produces the file ThalamicNuclei.FSvoxelSpace.mgz. I'm wondering two things: (1) is the new segmentation tool compatible with trac-all (the wiki says the results will be very close but not identical), and (2) if so, would it be appropriate to rename/link the file so that trac-all can find it, as this user did with the ThalamicNuclei.v13 file ( https://www.mail-archive.com/freesurfer@nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/msg73065.html)? Amygdala Subfields - longitudinal volumes differ a lot from the cross-sectionals

External Email - Use Caution Dear all, I have a Cohort of subjects with multiple time points. I have segmented the T1w with the normal recon-all and sub fields and then with the longitudinal pipeline as described in the wiki. When I compare the sub fields Volumes, there is a good agreement, with the expected variability, between longitudinal and not longitudinal for the Whole Hippocampus rh and lh. The Volumes for the amygdala are on the other hand, really different, especially for the left Whole amygdala.
